Client stories

Every family’s story needs its own plan.Client stories: three examples of how a plan comes together.

Every family’s money looks different. These examples show how we think a situation through, step by step, with SIPs, term cover and health insurance.

Please note: these are illustrative examples to show how planning works. They are not real clients, and the names and numbers are made up. We’ll share real stories only when clients give us their permission.

SIP + term cover

Ravi and Pooja, a young salaried couple

The situation
Ravi, 29, works for a private company, and Pooja, 27, teaches at a school in Rajula. Together they save about ₹15,000 a month, but it just sits in a savings account. Apart from a small group policy at Ravi’s work, neither has life cover.
The plan
Protection first: a term plan for each of them, and a health policy for the family. Then two SIPs adding up to ₹8,000 a month, one for a home down payment in about seven years and one for the long term. Three months of expenses stay aside as an emergency fund.
Where they are now
They now have a written plan with each goal, its date and its monthly amount. Their family is covered if something happens to either of them, the SIPs run on their own, and they’ve decided to step up the SIPs as their salaries grow.
Health insurance

Mansukhbhai, a shop owner in Rajula

The situation
Mansukhbhai, 46, runs a hardware shop in Rajula. Last year, a family member’s hospital stay was paid out of the shop’s takings. His parents had no health cover either.
The plan
We arranged a family floater health policy for him, his wife and their two children, and a separate policy for his parents (see health insurance for parents). Every policy, its renewal date and nominee went on one page.
Where they are now
His family now has cover in place, so a hospital bill is paid within the policy terms instead of coming out of the business. He knows what each policy covers and when it renews, and that we’ll help with any claim.
Education + retirement

Kiranbhai and Hetal, planning for their daughter and themselves

The situation
Kiranbhai, 40, and Hetal, 37, have a daughter in Class 6. They want to pay for her college in about seven years, and also retire without depending on anyone. With one main income, they weren’t sure how to manage both.
The plan
We used the goal planner to set a target for her education and started a SIP for it. A second SIP is for their retirement, about 20 years away. We also checked that their term and health cover was enough for the family.
Where they are now
Each goal now has its own amount, date and SIP, so one doesn’t quietly eat into the other. As college comes closer, we’ll move the education money step by step into lower-risk options, and we review both goals together every year.
