FAQ
Getting started
How much money do I need to start a SIP?
Many funds accept SIPs of ₹500 a month or less. The right amount depends on your goal and your budget. Try the SIP calculator, then talk to us.
What documents do I need?
PAN, Aadhaar, and bank details or a cancelled cheque. For insurance, we may also need age proof, income proof or medical reports. The full list is on how we work.
What is KYC, and do I have to do it again?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a one-time identity check for investing in mutual funds. If yours is done and your details are up to date, you usually don’t need to repeat it. We check your status and help if anything needs updating.
Do I need a lot of money to meet you?
Not at all. Whether you want to start small or sort out your whole family’s money, the first meeting is the same: we listen and we explain. There’s no fee.
FAQ
Mutual funds
What is the difference between a SIP and a lump sum?
A SIP invests a fixed amount every month; a lump sum invests one larger amount at once. A SIP spreads your buying over time and suits a regular income. Read more on mutual funds and SIP.
Are mutual fund returns guaranteed?
No. Mutual funds invest in the markets, so their value goes up and down, and past returns don’t guarantee future ones. That’s why we help you choose funds that match your goal and time frame. Read what to do with your SIP when markets fall.
Can I stop my SIP or take my money out?
Yes. Most funds let you pause or stop a SIP and withdraw your money, which usually reaches your bank in a few working days. Some funds charge an exit load if you withdraw early, and ELSS funds have a 3-year lock-in.
How does ELSS help me save tax?
Under the old tax regime, ELSS investments count toward the ₹1.5 lakh yearly deduction, shared with things like PPF and life insurance premiums. The new regime doesn’t allow this deduction. ELSS has a 3-year lock-in. Tax rules change, so check which regime suits you with your CA. More on tax saving with ELSS.
FAQ
Insurance
How much term insurance do I need?
A common starting point is enough cover to replace several years of your income and pay off your loans. Your family’s needs decide the final number. Try the term cover calculator or read how much term cover you need.
Is the health policy from my employer enough?
It helps, but it usually ends when you leave the job, and the cover can be small for a whole family. Your own health policy stays with you, whatever your job.
Is insurance a good way to invest?
We see insurance as protection first. A pure term plan gives a large cover for a lower premium, and you can invest separately for your goals. We explain the trade-offs of any plan before you buy it.
Will you help me with a claim?
Yes. For policies arranged through us, we help with forms, documents and follow-up with the insurer. The insurer decides the claim as per the policy terms. See claim support.
